Soochak is a secure and confidential reporting platform that enables members of the public to share information about wrongdoing, crime, and unethical conduct across Nepal. It is designed for individuals who have witnessed misconduct, experienced harm, or hold information that could serve the public interest. Reports can be submitted safely and anonymously.

This platform exists to ensure that important information does not remain hidden due to fear, pressure, or lack of access to the right channels.

Purpose of This Page

This page allows individuals to report serious concerns that may otherwise go unreported or unresolved. These include, but are not limited to:

Political corruption and abuse of power
Human trafficking and exploitation
Misconduct or abuse by public officials or law enforcement
Environmental damage and illegal activities
Sexual abuse, exploitation, and workplace harassment

How the Reporting Process Works

1. Access the Soochak Page
Navigate to the “Soochak” or “Report Now” section from the NepGov.com menu.

2. Select a Report Category
Choose the category that best reflects the issue you are reporting, such as corruption, human rights violations, or environmental harm.

3. Provide Relevant Information
Complete the form with as much factual detail as possible, including what occurred, where it happened, and who was involved. Supporting documents, images, or other evidence may be uploaded if available.

4. Remain Anonymous if You Choose
You are not required to disclose your identity. Reports can be submitted without providing your name, email address, or contact details.

5. Submit Securely
Once submitted, your report is securely received and prepared for review by our moderation team or trusted partner organisations.

Privacy, Safety, and Confidentiality

Protecting your privacy is fundamental to Soochak. Submissions are encrypted, and no IP addresses or identifying technical data are collected. Your identity remains unknown unless you voluntarily choose to share it.

What Happens After Submission

Each report is carefully reviewed. Depending on its nature, it may be assessed internally or shared with trusted investigative journalists, civil society organisations, or appropriate oversight bodies.

You will only be contacted if you have chosen to provide contact details and explicitly requested follow-up.
